On May 7th, Yunnan’s first red-themed immersive marching interactive performance Journey Through a Century was exhibited at the Kunming Museum. This play broke the traditional red-themed play presentation mode, and set the immersive scene of “Room Escape” into the performance, displaying the 100-year history of the founding of the Communist Youth League of China.

　　To welcome the 20th Congress of the Communist Party of China and celebrate the centenary of the founding of the Communist Youth League of China, Journey Through a Century represents the century-long history of the League from suffering to glory through an immersion experience.

　　The project takes the interactive performance, one of the contemporary youth’s favorites, as the breakthrough point, incorporates the currently fashionable “Script Murder”, a role-playing murder mystery activity, and “Room Escape”, and uses choreography and clue design such as “Time Tunnel” and “List Passing”. Based on the full restoration of history, this project boldly tries and innovates the narrative structure, vividly sketching the mainstream group images of Chinese youth in each period of the century.

　　From creation to performance, this play was independently completed by the youth team. In addition to professional actors, 14 volunteers were recruited to participate in the play, enhancing the immersive and interactive effects of the performance.
