On December 6, the mascot "Long Chenchen" forthe 2024 Dragon Year Spring Festival Gala on China Central Television was officially released.

The mascot features a unique ancient dragon nose as a design element from the turquoise dragon-shaped artifacts unearthed at the Erlitou site in Yanshi, Henan. The dragon spine structure and dragon belly pattern are derived from the four door ridges and cloud and thunder patterns on the side of He Zun made in the Western Zhou Dynasty, which first recorded the word "China". The decoration on the eyebrow bow and dragon shoulder is taken from the cloud patterns collected by the Henan Museum, which are exquisite and unique, adding fun and ancient charm to the mascot.
