Confucius went archery in a garden of Juexiang (now in Qufu, Shandong province), and many people crowded there to watch. Confucius stopped shooting arrows and asked Zilu to hold the bow and arrows. He turned to the crowds and said, "Everyone could enter except military officials who have lost the war, civil officials who are not loyal to the country, and rabbles." As a result, about half of the people left and the rest of them entered the garden.
