There are four types of talented disciples of Confucius. The virtuous are Yan Hui, Min Sun, Ran Geng and Ran Yong; the eloquent are Zai Wo and Zigong; the gifted for political affairs are Ran You and Zi Lu; the talented for literature are Ziyou and Zixia.
