In 2023, the core journal of Confucius Studiessteadily improved its statuswithhigh-quality achievements, innovatively launchinga number of characteristic columns, continuously improvingthe level of standardized management. The journal was againselected for the "Overview of Chinese Core Journals" and the CSSCI(2023-2024) source journal of Peking University Library, winning excellent achievements in social science theory in Shandong Province for two consecutive years, winning the 2023 China Fine Journals Exhibition, and being included in the list of highly reprinted journals for the year 2023.

2024 marks the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the China Confucius Foundation, and also marks the "Academic Construction Year" of the Nishan WorldCenterfor Confucian Studies(theSecretariatof China Confucius Foundation). As an academic brand and cultural logo created by this organization, ConfuciusStudieswill adhere to the fundamental requirements in publishing, grasp the correct direction of publishing, optimize column settings at important time points, pay attention to academic hotspots, highlight the characteristics of the times, strengthen content review, and firmly adhere to the ideological bottom line. We will adhere to our academic background, always keep in mind the purpose of "inheriting the Chinese humanistic learning, inventing new knowledge of humanities, promoting academic progress, and leading the development of Confucianism", increase the exploration of research articles on Confucianism from the perspective of social sciences, deeply connect with authoritative journal evaluation institutions at home and abroad, continuously expand the proportion of submissions, continuously improve the content level, and enhance the influence and competitiveness of the journal. We will focus on overall coordination, increase support, fully tap into internal forces, and further improve the quality of thejournals. We will strengthen our sense of responsibility, build a strong team for publishing, and continuously improve our professional level. We will sethigher publication standards, strengthen institutional construction, continueto promote performance of the editorial department, continuously pushing the level of publication to new heights, and striving to build an international first-class academic journal.
