On the afternoon of January 17th, the signing ceremony of the strategic cooperation agreement betweenNishan World Center for Confucianism (Secretariat of ChinaConfucius Foundation) and Shandong Institute of Sports was held.

According to the agreement, both parties will establish a normalized cooperation mechanismfor consultation, contact, and mutual visits, and promote cooperation and exchanges in more fields. The two parties agreed to fully utilize their respective platforms, to regularly organize experts and scholars foracademic discussions and exchange activities, strengthen the dissemination and popularization of excellent traditional Chinese culture represented by Confucian culture as well assports culture, and build an educational curriculum system. The two parties will also strengthen cooperation with sports culture as the main content, showcasing China's image and promoting the domestic and international dissemination of Chinese culture and sports culture.

NWCCS, as a global Confucian research and dissemination entity platform jointly built by the Ministry of Education and Shandong Province, has achieved fruitful results in building “four highlands”namely, thehighland for gathering and cultivating Confucian talents, thehighland for research, thehighland for popularization and promotion, andthehighland for international exchange and dissemination. Shandong University of Sport has made active explorations in promoting and popularizing sports cultureby launching sports culture forumsand creating a "ideological and political+sports" education model. Both sides will further deepen cooperation, exchange resources, complement each other's advantages, and carry out practical cooperation in cultural popularization, academic research and discussion, international cultural exchange and other aspects, jointly contributing to the construction of sports culture in Shandong.
