On December 26, 2025, the first symposium on the inheritance and development of Confucian medical culture in the new era bymedical colleges in the Yellow River basin was held at Jining Medical College, guided by Nishan World Center for Confucian Studies(Secretariat of China Confucius Foundation) and hosted by Jining Medical College.

This symposium isa concrete implementation of the national policy to promote the creative transformation and innovative development of China's outstanding traditional culture. It also represents a pragmatic initiative by the medical education community in the Yellow River Basin to actively integrate into and support the major national strategy of ecological protection and high-quality development in the region. All participating institutions will take this symposium as a starting point to establish closer and more regular mechanisms for exchange and cooperation, jointly building a communityon research,educationand practicefor the "Confucian Medicine" culture.

The symposium was on the subject of "The Value of Confucian Medical Culture in the New Era". During the event, the "Initiative for Establishing Confucian Medical Culture and Education Alliance in the New Era" was read out.The participating experts reached a consensus onestablishinga long-term mechanism and jointly form the Confucian Medical Culture and Education Alliance in the New Era. This alliance aims to pool resources from all sectors, uphold the spiritual core of "compassionate heart of a physician," adhere to the value pursuit of "great physicians with profound sincerity," and collaborate to advance the education and research of Confucian medical culture.
