On November 13th, the Overseas Chinese Media Tour for ZouLuCulture was held at Mencius Research Institute. Co-sponsored by Shandong International Cultural Exchange Center, Mencius Research Institute, and the Publicity Department of the Zoucheng City CPCCommittee, the event marks another grand gathering of overseas Chinese media following the 2018 "Overseas Chinese Media Cultural Exchange Tour to Mencius’ Hometown."

Overseas Chinese media serve as an important bridge connecting China with the world, facilitating the exchange and mutual learning of civilizations. They play a pivotal role in promoting Shandong to global audiences. During the tour, journalists from overseas Chinese media visited cultural landmarks and beautiful villages in Zoucheng, appreciating the region’s natural scenery, exploring its cultural heritage, documenting rural transformations, and investigating development achievements. Through diverse narratives and cross-cultural communication approaches, they have disseminated Confucianism research outcomes and shared stories of Zoulu culture with audiences in multiple countries.

To date, overseas Chinese media journalists have released over 100 text-and-image reports, with short video content reaching more than 5 million overseas viewers. Many journalists expressed their commitment to leveraging their strengths, using languages and formats acceptable to overseas audiences to convey richer and more vivid Confucian thought to people around the world, acting as disseminators of Confucian culture.

This event holds significant importance in deepening overseas Chinese compatriots’ understanding of Mencius and Confucianism, uniting and giving full play to the power of overseas Chinese media, and advancing the global spread of fine traditional Chinese culture.
