A dozen farmer painters in Jinshan District of Shanghai started a themed painting event to welcome the Winter Olympics, aiming to show Winter Olympics spirit by combining traditional Chinese culture with Winter Olympic culture. 

　　Lu Zhuoyan painted an award giving ceremony where athletes from different countries with different colors wear medals and hold flowers high in their hands, surrounded by pigeons. Her painting shows the Olympic spirit and the charm of China. 

　　Besides depicting Olympic scenes with traditional painting techniques, many painters also created moving scenes to show the fascination of extreme sports. 

　　13 painters of senior, middle-aged and young generations (including painters with disabilities) participated in this event. Based on local folk arts forms, they showed with their paintings the Chinese strength, spirit and speed, helping to spread the Winter Olympics spirit to more people.
