In an effort to fully act on important speeches made by General Secretary Xi Jinping on carrying forward the fine traditional Chinese culture, build the Nishan World Center for Confucian Studies into a hub for the training of experts in Confucian studies and strive for deeper integration of the basic principles of Marxism with the fine traditional Chinese culture, an inauguration ceremony for the Research Base of Nishan World Center for Confucian Studies was held on the Qianfoshan Campus of Shandong Normal University, marking the inception of the Nishan World Center for Confucian Studies-Party School of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee (Shandong Academy of Governance) Research Base, Shandong Academy of Social Sciences Research Base, Qufu Normal University Research Base and Shandong Normal University Research Base. 

　　At the ceremony, the Nishan World Center for Confucian Studies signed cooperative agreements with the four research bases. Through the development of research bases, greater strengths will be pooled for Confucian studies in Shandong by leveraging the advantages in research and talents, so as to step up the study and explanation of Confucianism, promote the integration of traditional culture with modern culture, live up to the mission of educate the people through culture, jointly build a highland for Confucian studies and talent training, further promote the creative transformation and innovative development of the fine traditional Chinese culture, and ensure that Shandong stays at the forefront in carrying forward the fine traditional Chinese culture.  

　　Participating experts and scholars believed that the Chinese nation is in a critical period for achieving the national rejuvenation and it is necessary to enhance both material and spiritual strength. The Nishan World Center for Confucian Studies should be committed to integration of the basic principles of Marxism with the realities in China and the fine traditional Chinese culture, fully leverage its strength in academic research and talents training, provide continuous driving force for the development of the fine traditional Chinese culture, and make greater contributions to carrying forward the fine traditional Chinese culture.  

　　The Nishan World Center for Confucian Studies has been prioritizing its work in four areas and on six fronts, and focused on the integration of the basic principles of Marxism with the realities in China and the fine traditional Chinese culture, and the creative transformation and innovative development of the fine traditional Chinese culture. The inauguration of research bases marked a new beginning in the development of The Nishan World Center for Confucian Studies which will join hands with research bases to train more outstanding talents with a solid academic foundation and meeting the need of our times, produce more academic outcomes with an international vision, care for the nation and reflecting the spiritual requirement of our era, build multi-lingual, cross-cultural, and high-level platforms for the mutual learning among civilizations, remain committed to the promotion of the fine traditional Chinese culture, break new grounds in its creative transformation and innovative development, strive to take the lead in carrying forward the fine traditional Chinese culture, and enhance its global influence.
