The five-episode large-scale cultural and historical documentary Classes on Warring States Period: Jixia Academy, which took 15 years of feasibility study, more than 3 years of preparation, filming and production, and 6 changes to the draft, and shows the 150 years of history of Jixia Academy for the first time, went online on CCTV-9 documentary channel on April 17. It is set to be broadcast at 8 o'clock every night.

　　From the perspective of comparison between culture in the East and the West, the documentary strives to explore the origin of Chinese ideological and cultural development, trace the source of fine modern Chinese culture, and explore its historical significance and contemporary value to world civilization through storytelling, unique style and modern expression. The whole film takes Jixia Academy as the scene and focuses on finding new ways of storytelling and new perspectives accepted by the audience. The ancient philosophers that appeared in our textbooks since we were young became alive and vivid with unique personalities. 

　　Through panoramic representation, the documentary fully explains the role and influence of Jixia Academy in education, politics and the history of world civilization. From the historical perspective of the development of world civilization and Chinese culture, it demonstrates the development of ideology from the Spring and Autumn Period to Qin and Han Dynasties.
