The 2022 World Horticultural Expo in Almere of the Netherlands opened on April 14. With its unique style integrating traditional Chinese culture and modern craftsmanship, "Chinese Bamboo Garden" has attracted much attention among more than 30 national pavilions during this Expo.
Covering an area of 4,200 square meters, "China Bamboo Garden" is the largest national pavilion in this Expo. Focusing on the theme of "Developing a Green City", "China Bamboo Garden" uses new types of bamboo engineering materials and techniques to create a garden in southern China featuring "flowers and bamboos adding beauty to each other", showing the world a beautiful picture of China that integrates traditional culture and modern craftsmanship.
The main entrance of Bamboo Garden is shaped like bamboo slips, and the design is inspired by bamboo slip books in ancient China. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the Netherlands. On both sides of the entrance of the bamboo garden, red and yellow tulips, the national flower of the Netherlands, are planted, implying that the friendship between China and the Netherlands will last forever.
During the exhibition, the Chinese National Pavilion Day and provincial and municipal theme days will be held in the bamboo garden. Other activities such as exhibition of bamboo handicrafts with Chinese characteristics, exhibition of Chinese intangible cultural heritage, and exhibition of Chinese calligraphy and painting will also be held to spread Chinese traditional culture.

The 2022 World Horticultural Expo in Almere of the Netherlands will last until October 9. The organizers hope to attract around 2 million visitors.
