Nishan World Center for Confucian Studies Held the 7th "International Frontier Academic Lecture"

On March 13, Nishan World Center for Confucian Studies (Secretariat of China Confucius Foundation) held the 7th "International Frontier Academic Lecture"in order to implement the Global Civilization Initiativeproposed by President Xi Jinping, further deepen exchanges and mutual learning between Chinese and foreign civilizations, and expand new horizons for Confucianism research. A special academic sharing was delivered by Ahmad Suadi, a visiting scholar under the "Qilu Visiting Research Program", Vice Chairman of the Indonesian Ulema Association, Dean of the School of Islamic Civilization at the University of the Indonesian Ulema Association, and Director of the China Research Center at the University of the Indonesian Ulema Association.

EntitledIslam Nusantara and "Seeking Common Ground While Setting Aside Differences": A China-Indonesia Cooperation Perspective for Building a Harmonious World, Suadi introduced Indonesia’s cultural traditions and the characteristics of Southeast Asian Islamic civilization. He pointed out that Confucian thought and Islamic culture share many areas for mutual exchange and can play an important role in promoting inter-civilizational exchanges, mutual learning, and international cooperation. He also engaged interactions with scholars from Nishan World Center for Confucian Studies (Secretariat of China Confucius Foundation) on relevant academic topics.
