In 518 B.C.（the 24th year of Zhaogong，Duke of the state of Lu），Meng Xizi，a dying man told his two sons，Meng Yizi and Nangong jingshu，to learn rites from Confucius.（Zuozhuan*·the 7th year of Zhaogong）.Supported by Duke of Lu，Confucius went to the state of Zhou with Nangong Jingshu.He benefited a lot by surveying the establishments in the Zhou Dynasty.
